Mackenzie Roark is a Virginia-based singer-songwriter and front woman of her Americana rock outfit, HOTPANTS. Drawing inspiration from the folk-rock sound of days gone by, she crafts poignantly introspective and authentic songs that highlight a deep reflection on everyday life. Her 2022 debut album, Rollin’ High, Feelin’ Low (Vocal Rest Records), showcases her seamless blend of 70s folk, classic rock, and country traditions, delivered with a fresh, introspective edge. Her sophomore album with HOTPANTS, Ghost of Rock and Roll, has been met with many positive reviews, such as the one in RnR Magazine, saying that HOTPANTS is "one of America's finest and least formulaic Americana combos.” Roark is devoted to continuing the DIY dream in Richmond and beyond by creating real, heartfelt music and performing both electrifying and intimate shows.
